A Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combination that Actually Works: Logitech’s Desktop MK320 by Jensen Brandy
The Logitech Wireless Desktop MK320 is a keyboard and mouse combination that enables you to go cordless without any hassle. This enhanced wireless pairing of a full sized keyboard and a handy take-along mouse is a fantastic value. Set up is a snap for the Desktop MK320 by Logitech. It’s tougher to get the mouse and keyboard out of the box than to hook them up. Just plug the system in and your personal computer will instantly recognize them, as long as you’re on a Windows based PC. Simply plug and play – no lag time or other installation issues.
The keyboard comes with two extra keys for shortcuts, together with all the regular keys. There’s a key that enables switching between your home page and email om top of music shortcuts and any other running programs you may have. The keyboard also comes with a couple of special function keys, such as locking the PC and shutting it down. The keyboard is spill proof, though you needn’t endeavor to prove it. The mouse is about the same size as those of almost all average size notebooks. There are left, right and scroll buttons; this wireless mouse works very well with your right or left hand. Just above the ON/OFF switch is where the receiver snaps on to the bottom of the mouse.
Under the mouth you can see the battery cover. Page front/back buttons, which are more common with a desktop mouse than a notebook one, are not there. The mouse has a 5 month battery life, while the keyboard battery is said to last up to 15 months. Naturally, battery life varies with usage. Plus, one should never place too much stock in the life of the batteries included with the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK320. There is a battery life indicator on the mouse, but not the keyboard.
The Logitech Wireless Desktop MK320 lets you set your laptop computer on your desk while watching videos on your TV, from wherever you’re sitting, using the keyboard.
To summarize: The Desktop MK320 by Logitech boasts of a few positive features – convenient shortcuts, great battery life, spill resistance and the way the mouse’s receiver connects to its bottom. In addition, the mouse’s battery cover fits well and is quite secure. The battery cover designed to stay in place until you spring the release. The fact that the batteries aren’t rechargeable is a small disadvantage. Moreover, be aware that the mouse has no front and back buttons, and the keyboard doesn’t have a battery life indicator.
This combo is designed especially for laptop fans, but will work equally well with desktops. An inexpensive price tag plus its high quality and performance makes the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK320 a superb all around value for your money.
